ECB Banking Regulations, Business Ethics and Communication Skills for Overseas Bank Executives



Training will be conducted on a small-group or 1:1 basis over 5 days


The aims of this course are to enable overseas bank executives:

• To develop a better understanding of the ECB regulations in relation to Stress – Testing and the SSM (Single Supervisory Mechanism) Regulation in the Eurozone
• To discuss and analyse how this applies to their daily duties
• To communicate more effectively with the ECB and colleagues in English
• To discuss and analyse the pros and cons of increased regulation in the banking sector
• To raise awareness of the need for standards and professional integrity in the world of banking today

It also aims to provide bank executives with the opportunity to practise the English terminology, phraseology and grammar associated with the regulatory process in a variety of situations.

English Grammar/Syntax:

The grammatical and syntactical rules associated with communicating in the context of the various skills outlined above will be discussed and analysed.


Whether conducted on a 1:1 or small-group basis, these courses are highly participative and tailored closely to the needs of each delegate. Activities include intensive reading exercises, discussion/analysis of finance/banking concepts, Q&A on regulatory topics, formal input, simulations, ad-hoc briefings and written exercises.

• Financial Terminology: Assets, Liabilities & the Balance Sheet
• ECB Banking Regulations: Outcome of Stress-Testing, SMM and the Future of the Eurozone.
